Bergen 2017 is the organization responsible for planning and organizing the UCI Road World Championships in Bergen, Norway 2017. The Norwegian Cycling Federation (NCF) is proud to once more be hosting the biggest international cycling event – the UCI Road World Championships. This will be the second time in the history of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) that Norway is host country. The UCI Road World Championships is cycling's biggest annual sporting event in the world. It will be the largest sporting event in Norway since the Lillehammer Winter Olympics in 1994.
In September 2017 the UCI Road World Championships will take place in Bergen. This will be the biggest summer sporting event ever to be held in Norway. To make this event a true success about 1.500-2.000 volunteers are needed. Join and you can play a major role in creating the best event ever! We need volunteers that can make sure that everyone can enjoy the UCI Road World Championships. By taking part as volunteer you will gain unique experience, have memorable days and play a key role in making this the best cycling event ever. The Bergen 2017 Local Organizing Committee (LOC) consist of several different sections, and there is huge variety in the different jobs. Therefore we need volunteers with different competence and experience. UCI Road World Championships last for 9 days, but some of the sections will have important work in the preface and aftermath of the event. Therefore it is important that everyone working as volunteer can contribute for at least 5 days. If you have the opportunity to work more, that is off course positive. When you apply to become a volunteer please enter your preferred number of workdays. The earlier you apply the more likely it is that you will get your first choices.
