Tough Viking is the biggest and most challenging obstacle race in Scandinavia. This year the competitions take place in Finland, Sweden and Norway. The Finnish competition has been organized since 2014 and has become more popular each year. This year the race consists of 10km track with total 27 obstacles, which challenge the competitors both physically and mentally. The race is very tough, but the spirit is always positive and encouraging. The race starts with an elite departure where the competition is taken seriously. After that it is all about challenging yourself. Everyone who finishes the competition gets a medal. Yearly amount of competitors is around 3700 and audience 8000-10000.
Every year there are over 100 volunteers who make the Tough Viking competition possible. They work as obstacle supervisors, maintenance, handing out medals, traffic control etc. Tough Viking is known for its great atmosphere and team spirit, which is why many volunteers are willing to come back year after year. We organize a training for all volunteers on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 18.00-20.00, where we go through arrangements, safety instructions and work tasks.
To each volunteer we offer: Free participation to any Tough Viking competition during year 2019, certificate, t-shirt, free warm meal, snack and beverages during the shifts.
