Event description

Lahti will organise the Centenary World Championships that one-hundred-year-old Finland can be proud of. The centennial and the all-time seventh World Championships in the same location will be a true once-in-a-lifetime event. The Centenary Championships will combine the unique characteristics of the world championships with entertainment, leisure and travel experiences. An experience that won’t easily be forgotten. Nearly 700 competitors from 60 countries will compete at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. The event will attract hundreds of thousands of visitors to Lahti and a TV audience of more than 500 million people worldwide. Welcome to Lahti 22.2. - 5.3.2017!

Volunteering opportunities

Lahti FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 22.2. - 5.3.2017 are looking for up to 2000 volunteers for different kinds of tasks. This is your chance to enrol as a volunteer, collect experiments and be part of games where everyone feels at home! To volunteer you will need to participate at least 5 days or more at World Championships, speak fluent English and participate in online training and in-person interviews before the games. The volunteers are responsible for travel and accommodation themselves. Age limit to volunteer tasks are 16 years and to certain tasks, 18 years old. Volunteer package
