During the event, Aarhus will be buzzing with excitement. Sailors from up against 100 nations will compete for Worlds medals and qualifying for the Olympics on the waves of Aarhus Bay. The new pier invites everyone to join the family-friendly activities. It will be a party for all ages and interests, with lots of action for both incarnated fans of sailing, and for those who are not yet familiar with the sport.

Volunteering opportunities

As a volunteer at the SWC2018 you will become a part of a unique community that will create a world-class event. The city, the venue and Aarhus Bay will be decked out and ready to celebrate. The SWC2018 is our opportunity to spread the joy, passion and sense of community that the world of sailing offers to a wider audience and visitors from all over the world. A total of 1,500 sailors from around 100 nations will come to Aarhus to compete for the Worlds medals and qualify for the Olympics in Tokyo 2020. Alongside the Worlds we will have a maritime public festival and activities for the whole family. Our goal is to reach 400,000 guests during the 14 days of the event.
