Event description

The IAAF World Indoor Championships is the biggest indoor athletics event in the world. More than 400 athletes from around 150 countries are expected to take part in the event. The championships will be held from 1 to 4 March 2018 and there will be six sessions in total. The timetable includes a special evening session on Thursday 1 March 2018, when both the men's and women's high jump and the women's 3000m finals will take place. There will be a morning and evening session on Friday 2 March, a morning and evening session on Saturday 3 March and the final session will be on the afternoon of Sunday 4 March.

Volunteering opportunities

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO HAS APPLIED TO BE A VOLUNTEER AT THE IAAF WORLD INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS. THE APPLICATION PROCESS HAS NOW CLOSED. ALL THE APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS AND YOU WILL FIND OUT IN OCTOBER IF YOU HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR THE NEXT STAGE, WHICH WILL INCLUDE AN INTERVIEW IN NOVEMBER. ALL SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL THEN BE ALLOCATED ROLES IN JANUARY 2018. We're going to need about 400 volunteers to help ensure we organise the best possible championships and the roles available will be extremely varied.
