IRONMAN Lake Placid is the longest-running American event aside from the IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Located in the beautiful Adirondack mountains, it's an accessible event every athlete should put on their bucket list. Athletes begin with a two-loop swim in clear Mirror Lake, with the famous sight line at the bottom of the lake to guide them. Transitioning in the Olympic Speed Skating Oval to the bike, the rolling mountain views provide a scenic backdrop to the ride. Two loops of 56 miles bring competitors back to the Oval once again, where they begin their 26.2-mile run through the town and around the lake.
Our Volunteer registration is open for IRONMAN Lake Placid. Volunteering is a great way to support your local athletes and guest athletes. Our Volunteers continue to be an essential piece of our success. We are looking forward to seeing our returning volunteers and our 1st time Volunteers! Open jubs durning the event JULY 17- 23, 2017 If you have questions regarding volunteering, please contact the Volunteer Director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We invite you to come and share the fun, the inspiration and the hope of completing this monumental accomplishment for every athlete! Who knows, maybe you will be inspired to be the next IRONMAN!
