Event description

The 2020 Winter World Masters Games are the final missing chapter in the long and proud Olympic winter sports history of Innsbruck-Tirol. Around 3,000 athletes from around the world will travel to Tirol in January 2020 to compete in up to twelve Olympic disciplines. Among the disciplines already confirmed are Alpine Skiing, Cross-Country Skiing, Curling, Ice Hockey, Ski Jumping, Speed Skating, Figure Skating and Biathlon.

True to the mottos “sport for all” and “sport for life”, the World Masters Games encourage people of all ages to practice sport and stay active. The World Masters Games are open to competitors aged 35 years and above, depending on the discipline.

Volunteering opportunities

As a Volunteer you will form an important connection between the many different people taking part in the Games and be the face of the Winter World Masters Games (WWMG) 2020. With a combination of dedication, skill and experience, you will ensure the Games run smoothly from start to finish. Your friendly smile and warm welcome will create a great atmosphere and leave guests and participants alike with fantastic memories.
